So I'm SUPPOSEDLY on a list for the manager of the local JR to send out an email letting us know when they get Opus in.

Having heard about stores getting them in (and this is one of the great things about CP is the info we can share and collect) in my reagion, I wa patiently awaiting the email, since the guys had told me the sticks have to go through the warehouse first.

Well I stopped by yeasterday just to see what was up and they had 5 Power Rangers in. I bought them out.

Turns out they got 15 boxes at the end of last week, but the manager was out of town so no email went out!

GRRR!

I woulda been stopping by twice a day (cos it's limit per visit there, not per customer per day) and maxing out my purchases.

Anyways I asked for the empty box and they said they sell em for $10. If anyone wants it I'd be happy to call and see if it's still there, and pick it up on my way home tonight.

for the record they are already sold out of the boxes. had a CPer ask me for them and I called.

I'd say do a google image search, or check out moki's site. he's bound to have some pics

after they told me $10 for the box I asked to look at it....held one in my hands for the first time.

I feel so gay for being so starstuck by the things but there is an undeniable mystique

e-bay is a good place for opus boxes....youre not the only person who gets excited about seeing your favorite cigar setting there just waiting for you to come buy them...I've seen lots of grown men get very excited about Opus-X. More than you think.

Yeah, I think I jumped up and down when we got some...
Outlaw, does your store have any?

PS, nice quote, pink floyd is awesome ;)

One of the employees at JR said he sold a box last year (I guess the employees get dibs, or got to just take them last year) for $50 on ebay and that that was the going price.

Too rich for my blood. Heck even $10 is too rich! I smoke cigars, I don't look at em! It was still fun to see the box they came in though..especially sinc eFuente does make a bog deal over the paclaging.

So Guys, being the newbie that I am, is the Power Ranger the best kind of Opus or is it the Opus Forbidden X ??? ? I am very ignorant on this whole "rarest and bestest" (yes, I wrote bestest - so sue me!) stuff  ! I've got a b-day coming up for the old man and I'm taking suggestions if anyone's got any! Oh, and what's an Anejo (did I spell that right??)?

It's sort of up to persoanl taste. I like the Fuente Fuente, #4, and #5s the bes tin the OpusX line. Others really like the Power Ranger. Ask your hubby nonchalantly, what he thinks is the best OpusX. The ANejos are another line from Fuente. Personally, I think they are better than OpusX but they are VERY hard to come by. Only come out around Christmas time. Hope this helps...

P.S. The OpusX Forbidden X comes in a set (2 cigars) with a DVD. Would make a great B-Day gift. Famous SMoke Shop has them for $49.95.

Anejo's are like like kisses from angels

Haven't had my ForbbidenX yet, but you should just buy a bunch of things as ask him which he wants. Whatever he doesn't, you can send to me ;)

If I were you I wouldn't get too mixed up about it. If you pick up Opus X at MSRP that is a pretty huge score in and of itself.

For the record the scale of rarity goes

Opus X<Anejo<Forbidden X

Except the Forbidden can be had, just at a much higher price, unlike the Anejo, which has a lower MSRP than Opus, but is just harder to find.

As far as within the Opus X line (which like I said is good enough by almost any man's standards (moki keep quiet)), I'd say the "A", which is an enormous cigar, is the most rare, and most expensive, at $25 MSRP.

Power rangers, aka xXx or "triple X," are small, but considered the strongest in terms of nicotine content.

If I had to guess I'd say the Petit Lancero is the least popular size.

Robustos and xXxs I would wager are the most popular.

If you have 12 mins to kill and want a laugh, here's a review I posted a while ago that I did on my first Power Ranger. Yes, they are strong. It has a link to a downloadable mp3 file where you can listen to me debating about whether to even light the thing....
