First the Blackhawks won the cup, not since 61. Then the Bruins won, not since 72. Is it now the Kings turn? Could this be their year?
Watching the game, the Kings are horrible at running the circuit. Just awful. Is it no wonder why their Power Play statistic is zero.
Or how about the crazy notion of moving the puck out of their territory. They do it by passing to the middle, which is just crazy, but it works. Most battles for the puck they lose (not talking face offs), yet the Kings keep on winning the game. Not much offense with the Kings but they know how to shut down the other team to give them little offense. Kings passing is very good, which is a must, imo to win the cup. With the 2-0 advantage, the possibility of winning is 9 out of 11. Even though you can't be best at everything, overall the Kings look sharp.
