Land of Lincoln Herf VI... is this the last one?

??? This years LOL Herf may very well be the final one. With the new smoking laws coming into affect on January 1, we may not be able to host the herf next year. Add to that the waning interest in donating for the charity auction from vendors and that equals a pretty dismal experience, as far as associating the herf with a charity. With the herf only 6 weeks or so away, we have confirmed only about 30 people attending and that includes the local regulars. Apparently there's a large herf scheduled for Chicago a week or two before or after too. So, if you've been wanting to attend an LOL Herf and haven't made it, this year could possibly be the last chance.

Just saw this. Looks like a good time. I don't think I will be able to make it though as I already have plans for that weekend. Hopefully it is not the last one.

Malcolm and I talked about attending this, but his daughter's wedding is the week before. Hopefully this won't be the last one. Would love to join you guys for some serious smoking.
