This is an annual fall event for us here in Trade TN on our farm. Lots of family and friends come around to help make "molasses". We cut the cane today and will grind it it Thursday to get the juice out. The juice will be cooked over a wood fire in a big pan on Friday.
If you have never had sorghum syrup made in a single batch pan you should. It is great to cook with and is good for you.
