The devil site has these on special. $20 starting bid for a box.

Never heard of this brand before, but being a Nic puro it got my attention.

Any good? Or should I just roll up some cardboard and give it a puff?

I bought a box of Mantequilla last year and still have some. Quite nicely flavourful, but very mild for a Nic..

I enjoy 'em early morning, or while tending the grill.

Bilder, I love the Mantequilla maduro 5x54, X size. It is the cigar that turned me on to maduro wrapped cigars. And it is the first Nicaraguan puro that I tried and loved. The Mantequillas don't sell very well. So you should be able to get a box with lots of age on it. I bought several boxes about 4 years ago that at the time had 1-1/2 years of age according to the date code on the bottom of the box.

The best Mantequilla IMHO is the maduro torpedo. A box of 20 can routinely be bought for under $35 at JR's. Mike Cigars will have them on sale occasionally too.

And since you indicated that you like Nicaraguan puros, you might want to try the Lusitania that Mike' s Cigars sells. "Lusitania cigars are handmade in Nicaragua, only the finest tobaccos from the Nicaraguan regions of Jalapa and Esteli are used for these Nicaraguan "Puro". Using the complex, aromatic tobaccos of the Jalapa valley with the fuller bodied tobaccos of Esteli, Tabacalera Perdomo has created a smooth, medium bodied blend with a rich Nicaraguan sun grown wrapper that offers a rich, satisfying finish."

His regular price for any size is $31.95. I love the maduros.
