Mark Twains Humidor on Ebay

I found a listing on Ebay for a Humidor once owned by Mark Twain. This would make a nice piece of Tobaccainia to have. But I bet it brings a hefty price.

Wow that is beautifully made. I love the way pieces made in a certain era have characteristics uniquely their own, and this piece with the history behind it is a small treasure.

The metal inside makes me wonder if it were for pipe tobacco. That and what looks like storage areas in the back portion make it look like it's for pipes.

I'm suprised that the Mark Twain House wouldn't have picked this up. Unless the seller's a real dolt and didn't contact them directly. If the seller did contact them and they turned it down...I wonder why?!

I just called the museum - they didn't know about it - or that it was for sale.
