PARTAGAS SERIE D NO. 3 LIMITED EDITION MADUROS
An interesting question was posed on one of the cigar newsgroups (cigarfamily.com) over the past
few days, concerning the authenticity of some Partagas Serie D No. 3........ an interesting situation
and I was happy to provide a definitive answer which I'm sure many people will be happy to read:
I have discussed this with my friend Simon Chase, the Marketing Director of Hunters & Frankau
and basically we have learned that there are two different presentations for the Partagas Serie D No. 3.
There is one that carries the standard Partagas band above the 2001 Edicion Limitada
Ring, and there is another that has a red band like the D4 above it.
Both are in labelled Partagas boxes and both are official Habanos. The United Kingdom has received the former.
Apparently there was a misunderstanding between the factory and Habanos SA and we are now told that
from now on all production will be with the red bands. Habanos SA has issued an official picture by showing
the red band. Simon has asked me to reassure you that both banded cigars are of course authentic although
the former are somewhat more 'Limitada' than we first thought!
