I have had this horible URI (cold) for the past week. Chest congested, runny nose, stiff neck, the whole enchelada. So, what to drink? (You didn't think I was going to stop drinking and smoking, did ya?) No sense drinking the good stuff. Can't taste it, but I'll only stoop so low. So I find a bottle of Bowmore Legend. It's cheap. 17.99. It's from Islay and it's not Cutty Sark. What the hell. Damn, this stuff isn't bad, and for the price... I recomend this stuff. If there's a better economy whisky, I'd like to know about it.

I did a thread on this very topic here. Personally, I do Wild Turkey and chili so hot it makes your eyes water and nose run. Seems to work most of the time.

I usually do a shot of Jim Beam Black when I'm sick. Better than NyQuil! :laugh:

I think it was around $13-$15 a bottle.
