Michael Brecker Dies

Michael Brecker, a versatile and influential tenor saxophonist who won 11 Grammys over a career that spanned more than three decades, died Saturday. He was 57.

I often would hear Michael Brecker play at the Blue Note in NYC. He was one of the great Tenor Sax men following in the footsteps of Coltrane. He will be missed by the Jazz world, but his music will always be with us. RIP

RIP, Mr. Brecker. I just recently got into jazz and he was one of my favorites.

I think I will dig out all my Michael Brecker CDs and play his stuff today. It will be a chance to tell my kids about him.
