Mt Gay Rum Extra Old

Okay, a friend of mine is sending me a bottle of this rum, he stated that this is just plain awesome. Well my fellow CP members is it or ain't it? Speak now.

Hi Mike,

While I've never had the "Extra Old", Mount Gay rum is great stuff. It's from Barbados instead of the light crap from Puerto Rico.

You know the funny thing is that most of the natives in Puerto Rico DO NOT drink Bacardi even though the distillery is right there in San Juan. They drink another popular Puerto Rican rum (the name escapes me at the moment) which I have to agree is better than Bacardi.

I think you'll like the Mount Gay.

The Mount Gay Rum is good, but it is NOT as good as the El Dorado from Guyana. It IS better than anything else in the region though. . . IMHO. (With the exception of the El Dorado Rums from Guyana of Course)

By now, you should have this Rum Mike. . .What do you think? ? ?
