My First AR Build

Daniel Defense Lower Parts Kit
CMMG 16" MidLength Upper. Chrome lined 1/7 barrel and chamber
LaRue Tactical Padded 2 Point Sling
Magpul MOE Grip Flat Dark Earth
Magpul CTR Carbine Stock (Milspec) Flat Dark Earth
DSA Milspec Buffer Tube Kit
Magpul Flat Dark Earth Magazines
Midwest Industries Emergency Rear Sight

I plan on either getting an EOTech 512 or an Aimpoint for the optic. I already have an EOTech on my other AR, so I am leaning toward an Aimpoint

No problem. It took me a while to plan it out. I just did a ton of reading on AR15.com and finally figured out my plan.

Nice build, I think you will be really happy with the moe grip and that stock. You said this is your first build but you have an eotech on your other AR, did you buy the other one pre-built?

I have a S&W M&P 15 that I bought. This is the first rifle I actually built from a stripped lower

I say go for it. I bought my upper complete and putting the lower together was much, much easier than I thought it would be. Probably took me 45 minutes at most and required very few tools, just go slow and watch out for those take down pin springs.

I have an eotech 512 that just collects dust. I bought it last year to put on a Colt 6920 and just never got around to using it. I've been thinking about selling it and getting an Aimpoint for a while now.

I shoot pistols 3 or 4 times a month, but I rarely get around to shooting rifles. At least this one was mounted before being locked away in the safe!
