My first Opus?

just to let you know plan to spend as much as three times the usual price for any cigar.....

I don’t know if there’s a bad opus really… I will recommend trying a Casa Fuente stick though.

My 2 cents only: Last time I was in Vegas, March 2006, a friend and I visited Casa Fuente. Neither of us had been there before. We were treated like snot on a napkin. I'll never go back and I know my friend feels the same way.

Sidebar: I don't know about you guys, and this has nothing to do with being treated poorly at Casa, but I'm not a big fan of hanging out in a humidor while the owner's son/daughter stand next to me giving me advice on what to smoke and all the while making sure I don't put a cigar in my pocket.

Again, just my 2 cents.

There is a store in my area that has the best selection. The lady always follows me into the humidor as well. Makes me pissed off too. Like she thinks I am going to steal. I don't hardly go there anymore just because of that...............and she thinks she can get me to pay 15 bucks for a Romeo reserva real!

Anyhoo I hope my experience at the Casa is good.

Thanks for the info.

I would suggest trying one of the Casa Fuente Corona Gordas. Thier Opus are always fresh. And if you know me, I say that fresh Opus suck. So wait until you can find some Opus at a better price and sit on them for at least 6 months. The Casa Fuente sticks are ONLY available at Casa Fuente and I have never been disappointed with one.

And everytime I go in there I am treated very well. I have only heard of people being treated rudly there but have NEVER seen it. And I am even a big hairy biker fuck. I have never had anybody watching over my shoulder there. I think that the place is a big Vegas bonus! But I would not buy anything there but the Casa Fuente sticks, and maybe and ashtray or something though.

Go in with a positive attitude and ENJOY!!!

Thanks for the advice.
I will consider that for sure. Where is a good place to get an Opus? My local places here in Elsinore are just Head shops with a small selection of cigars in the back.
They just carry the usual suspects.

Ever been to Red Cloud in Fullerton?

big hairy biker fuck??

Have you ever told her how you feel about her watching your every move while in the humidor, or asked her if that's her policy for everyone? I don't know, just a thought, but maybe if you let her know that it makes you uncomfortable, she may rethink her process. I know the last time I was in Des Moines, me and a buddy stopped at a cigar shop in a mall, and they had someone in the humidor at all times. I didn't care for it so I looked around and walked out without making any purchases, and the bummer was they had some nice Opus at decent prices. But it ticked me off so I did the same as you, just walked out.
