So I decided to take a trip to JR’s today to spoil myself a little for working so hard the past few weeks. I’m in the middle of remodeling my kitchen, so I can’t go ballistic on my cigar purchases, but I’ve worked over 40 hours of overtime in the last 5 weeks. I’m a lucky fellow with a JR’s with an hour’s drive :)

You see, if it weren’t for Joe.M.’s fantastic “5”-blind parcel the other day, my humi would be nearly empty. I can’t totally remember why its stock is so low, but I do have a vague recollection of 2 20-digit numbers:

0303 0130 0003 2812 4109
0303 0130 0003 2812 4093

Do you guys suffer occasionally from this same type amnesia?

Anyway, I bought all kinds of goodies today. A lot of it was purchased with other people in mind. :sneaky: I won't list that portion of my purchase, becasue some of you could see it first hand.

I do have one question…I picked up a Monte #2 Platinum in a sampler (for me, finally). How is this different from the “regular” #2?

I also got that Trinidad that I thought I was getting instead of the Trilogy I recently reviewed :p

Man I love this place!

Cheers,
Dixie

Hey dixie, glad you could get away from all of the hard work for a little while and score some nice stogies.

Although I've never had any Monties, I can tell you the difference from the classic and the platinum series. The classics have a Cuban seed filler with a Connecticut shade wrapper (the con. shade is pretty common in good cigars). The platinum series have a blended filler of Dominican olor and Nicaraguan habano with a Cuban seed wrapper.

Not sure if this really helps but I hope you enjoy your new smokes. :D
