Over the last couple days the wife decided that I needed a project. So she had me redo my twins bedroom. I didn't take any before pics, since the room wasn't that cool. But I took a pic of the spare bedroom, to give you an idea what the room looked like before.
Overall it took about 6 hours of total work (over about 4 days) to totally finish the room. Paint top color, let dry, paint bottom color let dry, cut/install/paint chair rail, then repaint all the baseboards and door mouldings.
You will have to excuse the mess, it was where we kept all the boys' stuff while I was doing the work...
This is what the walls looked like before I started. Pretty boring.
Here are some finished pics. The top is a light blue, and the lower is a darker blue color.
The boys enjoying their new room.
Hunter in front of his chalk board wall holding one of his new pieces for his room. I did the chalk wall by floating out the wall under the window to make it smooth, then applied a few coats of magnetic pant (for magnetic letters and numbers), then I applied a few coats of chalk board paint.
Hayden holding another one of his new pieces for his room.
I am thinking the next room will be the office. Wainscoting with hardwood floors, and a nice color on the walls. Something that will look really nice with the cherry executive desk that is lives in the office.
