LMAO, I hope it does get printed in Navy times. Navy time will receive an ass load of hate mail from Coasties, and once again the navy will have to eat Coastie crow. We take a lot of crap from the public who actually don't know better.

But come on, everyone one knows here that the Coast Guard effort save hundreds of lives, and rescued thousands of people, not to mention that the cureent Commandant bailed out FEMA and litterally saved the Presidents ass on this one. I am sure other people beside ADM Thad Allen could have been put in to run the rescue effort. But like always, the Coast Guard is "Always there, always ready".

I could go on, but I'll wait to see where the Navy takes this one.

I would not have, but for my Puddle Pirate roomie and drinking buddy when I was stationed in Hawaii - a Chief MK. He sent this to me. I thought it was funny.

I had to set straight a lad at work who scoffed at the CG's involvement in Viet Nam. CG's always had my respect, Emo, and to a large extent, my envy.
