Needing some clarification friends

Hey all. This seems like a rather novel site. I don't really understand what everybody means by a 'pass' though. I've spent a lot of time at www.cigarcommunity.com , and I just found this one. Can anyone explain what the passing is all about? Is it different than a normal forum? Thanks.
