Today, I paid a visit (nice play on words) to Barlow's, Louisville CO. Among my buy was a pair of Omar Ortez toro @ 4.50 each. As I would expect, its a high street price, but normal for Colorado given our outrageous taxes. The proprietor referred to these as aimed at RP Edge, but not as complex. I'm about 1/3 into the first one and I disagree. I'm getting the woody flavor all right, but I'm also getting quite a bit of spice. I'm really enjoying this stick!

I see it on the Internet for as low as $2.99 when buying the 60ct cab. Anyone else have experience with these?

I just replied because 100 viewed it without replying and I took pity :p

I know the feeling - been there done that. I bet there are thousands of undiscovered cigars out there. One guy said he found one but wouldn't say what because he wanted them all!

I think I know why this stick might be rare to most here. I'm smoking another one right now and it's nowhere near as memorable as the first. One of us seems to be inconsistant in a big way.

Disappointing that they are inconsistent. I had a local merchant give one to me (I guess they're not selling particularly well), and I enjoyed it immensely, more than the Edge. I would be curious to know if the one bad stick was an abberation or if I just got lucky with the one I tried too.

What causes the inconsistentcy ?

I'm going to grab a few more at the next Denver HERF (Dec 16). I thought the first one was great. I had the second after a plate of schnitzel, red cabbage, German potato salad, and a Paulaner (sp?). It just didn't do for me what the first one did.

Thanks for the footwork, AVB - thats the best price I've heard of. I might just take a chance.
