So lately, ive been on a quest, to find an affordable cigar that i can smoke in between all the rich bitch sticks. my budget is around $5......i'm really loving the CAO brazilia line, anyone know of anything else compareable in price and quality?

I love the La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5 Natural. Less than $4 a stick if you buy a box. Great flavor, kinda nutty, medium strength.

Been known to pick up bundles of RP 90 seconds from CI, too. I think they're under $4 a stick. Minor issues on 'em, sometimes a hole in the wrapper, but still a good smoke if you like the original 90s.

My "cheapie" is the Onyx. $50 for a box of 20 and another good medium smoke. Not real complex, but great for an every day smoke.

All depends on your taste, though.

Lots of good options in this price range. A few cheap sticks that I enjoy are the ERDM line, specifically the Robusto Larga's which are about $60-$70 a box and the Famous Smoke Nic 3000 bundles which are very cheap at $40-$45.

The Indain Tabac Super Fuerte are good smokes for little cash. You can get them on Cbid for a steal if you bid early.

Sancho Panzas are another affordable stick that smokes well. You can get their double maduros for around 40 bucks a box if you shop around.

A couple of my favorite affordable smokes are Padron Delicias, Padron 2000 and Don Pepin Blue Labels.

There are SO many cigars in that price range it's hard to limit one's answer. Go to Top25 and select the $6 under parameter and you'll get a bunch of ideas. Most of the Fuente line but the CHateau and 858 are great. Also, if you consider what you can GET for under $5 instead of MSRP, the list is gigantic.

I just finished a nice Padron 2000 natural. Fantastic smoke for the price; my absolute go to stick many weeknights. You can find 'em on sale in the $65.00 / box range if you are patient and buy them on sale (several times a year, it seems). Tonights smoke was a natural but I have a couple of boxes of natural and maduro in the coolers resting up. Get a box and sit on it for a year....you'll be very impressed. The maduros in particular will develop tastes that will certainly remind you of the 64's.... for less than 1/2 the price...

As usual, I'll throw in a vote for the Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Cadiz.....a nice torpedo for $59/box. Smaller vitolas are cheaper, down to about $35/box from JR's. Outstanding smokes right out of the box, IMO.

I've got a box of the Padron 2K maduros, and have tried one here and there. I guess I'll just have to take everyone's advice and let them rest for a while. They're just not doing much for me fresh.

Check out the Flor De Ybor City line at Tampa Sweethearts. I try to keep a bundle or two on hand, and I usually pick up the No. 85 Sun Grown's. Good cigar for the price.

My $0.02 ...
