Hi. I am Alan. I heard that this is the best place on the net to meet others that love cigars like I do. I have only been into cigars seriously for a litle less than a year now and have recently found the world of ISOMs. I learned that term by reading the posts here. I am hoping to meet some friends and learn some things from you guys that have been into this hobby for a while now. Please forgive me if I make a mistake or two here and there as i am brand new to this whole furum thing altogether. I have already made a few.

Full flavored, full bodied torpedo cigars are what I like best. I have accumulated a great collection of them by using a couple of cigar auction websites. Every different kind of cigar I try, I tape the band in a notebook and write a little review about it. I would have to say that the ISOMs, whether they are real or not, are my favorite. My favorite domestic is the LFD Double Ligero Chisel and my favorite ISOM is the Vegas Robaina Unico.

I have two other passions in my life. The first and foremost is my family. I have a 13 yr old daughter and an 8 yr old son and a girlfriend that i've been with for 8 yrs. The other passion is Harley Davidson Motorcycles. I have an '03 Road Glide and an '06 Street Rod. The only bummer about riding is that I can't smoke a cigar while toolin' down the road.

Hopefully I have presented myself in an acceptable way and we can become friends. I look forward to getting to know you.

Thanks, Alan

Welcome to CP from the Tater State... this is a good place to be on the net if you like cigars. We've also got a poker room you can join, if you like that kind of thing.

That's a shame  Oh well, maybe we can help you un-learn it :D

Welcome to CP! You'll love it here :)

Welcome from sunny (well not today) California.

Be sure to get in on some passes and make some trades. I have only been around for a month or so and am starting my second pass and have already worked a couple of trades with some VERY generous members here.

EDIT . . . Oh hey where in California are you from?

Welcome aboard brother! Nice to have you. You can learn alot from the FOGs and maybe a little from the ever growing newbie population.

Yes sir, the day is cast, we are growing! Be as big as the FOGs in a few years and just as sophisticated! ;)

That'd be a good thing. Key Largo never really was known for its sticks anyway. :D

Welcome aboard atuck. It's a hell of a great place here, I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Uhhh, that's not necessarily true. The Cigar El Original hails from Key Largo. A pretty decent botique brand.

Uhhhh, 1. That was sarcasm Emo, you know that. :) 2. I've been to Island Smoke Shop more times than I care to remember (my get-away house is on Key Largo, and one of my boats is docked oceanside there) and, El Originals are ok. Santiago Cabana, same boat really. Still better out there, so, by and large, it still doesn't totally put Key Largo on the cigar map.

Thread jack over. ;)
