NJ will become the newest casualty in the anti smoking “movement” Note the stipulation that smoking in a casino is still OK. I can not believe this crap it is hard enough to find a cigar friendly bar. So I guess the degenerate gamblers (me included) are allowed to smoke. This truly sucks I feel it should be up to the proprietor of the bar or restaurant if they want to allow smoking or not. I understand there may be health risks for bartenders and waitresses but if you decide to go into the bartending field you should already know it will be a smoky environment. This just pisses me off. Smokers are one of the only minority groups that still are shafted by the man!!!!!

Saw that too. Tobacco related places, Cigar lounge, and such are on the ok list. So if the restaurant sells cigars it's ok to smoke in them.

Oddly enough, much of the documentation on the subject doesn't conclude that there are health risks associated with second hand smoke. If you've ever watched the show Penn & Teller Bullsh*t they had a segment on this that was very enlightening.

WA state joined this stupid bandwagon, and it's even more restrictive. Smoking currently is not allowed in ANY public building, nor within 25' of an HVAC intake! So, you now can't smoke in cigar stores, cigar bars, etc. Indian casinos, howerver are exempt. What bulls#!t....

I have no problems with a "labeling requirement" such that folks that don't want to be exposed to smoke don't have to, but this sure feels like a perfect example of something the "free market" will take care of just fine. If smoking establishments start going broke, they'll go "smoke free" all on their own. I personally think there are other things way more important for the government to worry about...:angry2:

I saw that that. I love that show. But the moral majority still beleive there may be health risks plus that is the major argument with all of these smoking bans. Another thing I think is Bull$hit is those "Truth" ads they run on TV. "Look at this marketing meeting from big tobac." Blah blah blah truth is if you read transcips fron any product marketing meeting they would sound the same. again BULL$HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is very sad, because the scientific/ medical research could not prove that there are health risks associated. I found it irratating that when the supporters of smoking bans were confronted with the EPA's documentation in hand, showing and stating the lack of medical/ scientific evidence they still would not change tunes or even acknowledge it. Yet the government still allows these commericials, ads, and laws to be allowed, it's crazy.
