How does one fix a cigar wrapper if it starts to unwrap while smoking?

Now having said that, I use spit if it happens while I'm smoking.

And Pectin if I notice it before hand.

I have success with tearing the sticky part off a cigarette paper and using that, or simply licking the end of my finger and wetting the base of the split usually stops it.
