5 1/2 x 56 is the ring gauge and length of this cigar. This cigar is still one of my favorites even after learning about so many different cigars from this website. It has panamanian, nicaraguan, and Honduran filler with a Colorado Maduro wrapper grown in Nicaragua. This is supposed to be the fullest bodied cigar that Carlos Torano manufactures but I didn't find it to be strong at all. It is very easy cigar to smoke.
I smoke my last Virtuoso after I fixed my brakes this weekend. Here is the review:
This particular stick is the last of four that I purchased several months ago. I thouroughly enjoyed all of them although I had difficulty with the draw on this stick through the first third and wondered to myself if it wasn't too humidified. I didn't have that issue with the first three which I smoked shortly after I purchased them.
This stick had a very mild taste and even burn all the way through. I never needed to correct it. It builds a very nice oily sheen a good inch behind the ash as it burns. The first third is hard to get a full mouthful of smoke (although this was not true of the first three I smoked from the same box)but what I do get is a nice mild flavor.
By the second third I am getting a nice full bodied smoke with an excellent flavor and easy draws that I am used to from the beginning with the other Virtuosos I have smoked. I am probably smoking it too fast but I really enjoy the flavor of this smoke.
The last third is as good as the second third with no bitter taste at all. I only put it out because it gets too hot to hold or inhale.
The ash fell twice. At the end of the 1st third and again at the end of the 2nd third. I was obviously smoking it too hot by the end of the second third based on the shape of the ash that was left when it fell. I smoked this stick in about an hour but it could easily last an hour and a half if smoked a little slower.
Easily my favorite cigar. Not only because it is very easy to smoke but also because this is a good 5 dollar cigar I can share with people who don't smoke very often and they will enjoy it. Not overpowering but not whimpy either.
This cigar sat in my humi out of the cello for about 1.5 months
