So I'm new here and pretty new to cigars as well. I lurked around a little while but but this seems like a great place to be a part of.
I stared smoking cigars about a month ago -- the first combustable anything I've ever smoked -- a friend handed me an Opus X, which in retrospect was probably a bit much for a smoke deflowering. Since then I've basically just been buying random things with no particular direction. Of the relatively few cigars I've tried, the ones I've liked best thus far are:
Romeo y Julieta
CAO Black
Series 55 red label
No newbie post would be complete without an awkard summary of my life, so here goes. I'm 25, I live in Dallas (so I have a new appreciation for how stupid the smoking ban in restaurants is), I'm a big big fan of the cinema (see username), and I work in IT.
Anyway, thanks for hearing me out here. I'm looking forward to mining this forum to learn more about cigars and to work out something better than my rudderless approach to buying cigars.
