and it just don't pay.
I have to turn it down. :angry2:
I'm not too happy with the present job, but we've become dependent on the income and can't economize enough to make this change work.
DAMN!
.......cigars at cost. "sigh" :whistling:

That's why I had to leave the Tinderbox!

6 something a hour + 30 something hours a week - Rent - car payment = sad KB

could you at least get them to offer some performance incentives so you could increase the money with some hard work?

however it works out, I'm sure things will work out for you.

Good job if you're retired but otherwise not so much. It's even more difficult being in NJ with the cost of living here.

Amen to that!
What does the "B and M" that I've seen in other posts mean?

Bummer! I found it hard to quit the shop I work at part time. Still haven't quit yet. It is hard to give up the one free smoke a day, plus 25% discount. I guess I'm not making any extra money b/c all of it goes to buying more cigars.

Giving it up already? ???

That discount is awesome, and the one freebie a day is awesome.

We never got a discount on tobacco at the tinderbox, but we got by... :whistling:

edited for the "up"

Well Kayak, I had planned on giving up before the summer started. They wanted me to work every weekend and 3 nights a week from 6-10pm. That would have taken time away from my personal life (wife, vacations, etc.) I'm a teacher and I don't really need to work another job, although it's nice. Anyways, I went in and told the manager I had to quit. They enjoyed me working there b/c of my knowledge of cigars :p , I'm smart ;) , handsome :p , and they need another person so bad they worked with my needs. Since then, it's been the best thing for me; I work out my own schedule. I work all day time hours, usually Tues-Thurs. So, weekends I can leave town to sunny San Diego, California or up in the mountains of Northern Arizona. Life just doesn't get any better.

are you talking about B&M as opposed to online/mail order?

B&M when referring to a business usually stands for Brick & Mortar, which is basically the opposite of online.

For example, Amazon is not B&M.

Barnes and Noble sells online, but also has B&Ms.

Most small tobacco retailers are B&M. JR is both...

Hey Ree Ree, Where do you work? Churchills in Phoenix or one of the Tinderbox?
