Opus X 1st Qtr Shipment

I was in my local B&M this weekend just STS. He said "Louie" the local Fuente rep had been in and told him to expect his 1st Qtr. shipment of Fuentes next week. No guarantee that the Opus are with that but stands to reason that they will be. I thought maybe we could get a thread going where people could report in as the Opus hit the shelf in their local area's.

My local in South Jersey got in a three weeks ago, but is selling them about 6 bucks over MSRP. Thats usually not his style!!
 
There are several places in my area that get OPX. None of them have any in as of now, and one shop just sold all of their Perfec #4's and #5's that they had left over from Christmas. Needless to say, I picked up as many as I could as between $7.00 and $8.50 per stick.
 
My store is getting a Fuente shipment next week, but we are still waiting on Opus. I don't see any Opus coming into my store until the end of the month. But then again, this Fuente shipment I'm getting is not a "quarterly" shipment. I'll check back with him tomorrow.
 
What's a quarterly shipment? Is that the one that comes with the Moki quarter? :sign: This is not how Fuente ships product. Opus come when they come(usually 4 times a year but not always), no specific dates. Regular shipments of ordinary Fuente product come all the time(not quarterly). I don't think Fuente could make any money if the just shipped 4 times a year, nobody would have any product.
 
Is it true that a hurricane destroyed some of their storage warehouses last year? We may see less product and higher prices if it's true. :(
 
My local shop I frequent has Fuente Opus X's there, they are in glass tubes, and those are going for $45 USD. Too much money for me, but what can you do. Maybe more shipping will mean a minute drop in price? Not bloody likely though, eh?

Come on up the freeway a bit more and pick up the DCA for $30. :)
