Awhile ago, I posted a thread questioning the price of OpusX cigars, well...I need to post this as a retraction.

I was gifted an Opus and smoked it last night on the porch. It was heaven, I now know why they command such a price. I'm not doing a review here...just a retraction.

I sat on my porch, it was 89 degrees, 80% humidity, and sweat was pouring off of me like I had a drip feeder over my head. The Opus made it worth every minute of it. Somethings are meant to be savored...the Opus line is one of those things.

Remember that old Camel slogan? "walk a mile for a Camel?" I'd sweat to death for an hour for another opus...

I promise...no more questioning the fanaticism over Opus...

LOL!

I'm tempted to say "welcome to the dark side" but that's taken for ISOMs.....welcome to the Rosado side?

"OpusX - They're worth the sweat!"

Just ordered the gift set, hope I'll enjoy one this much (I think I'll hold on to one for a while :-p )

ahhh another happy opus smoker. just think if you were to enjoy one on a nice cool evening, wow!!!!! welcome to the land of opus

I used to say "What's the big deal with Opus X?" or "I wouldn't spend my money on those overated cigars...." but I've done a complete turnaround on these and I LOVE them

i still feel that they aren't worth what they cost, but the three i have smoked were in the first couple of months of my cigar smoking.

I still have never tried one..I just cant justify the money..if one was gifted to me or if I got one in a trade ro something I would surely smoke it..just not pay the exorbatant price these smokes are going for.

I have only smoked one and I didn't care for it.
I can see I am going to have to get another and try it again.

Sometimes you get a bad one but I can tell you I didn't think iot was anything like that

They are not worth a cent over MSRP. But worth it as MSRP.

That's my stance.

I would pay over MSRP but not much. I would pay the normal markup that is placed on a good cigar. Rarely do you see premiums at MSRP.
