Organic Cigars?

fwiw, There is a cigar called Plasencia, that is also organic.

I smoked one of their smaller sizes, maybe the Nesticos. Not a bad smoke.

Sounds interesting and it priced around the 5 dollar mark, may not be a bad choice to snag one. If anyone has smoked one, I'd be more then interested to hear a review.

I've smoked a number of Plasencia Reserva Organics. It's a good cigar. They have a straight foward rich tobacco taste which I enjoy. They're even better when Famous sends you free ones with your order.

I was intrigued by the idea so I took a Plasencia Reserva Organica Corona out of the Hot Potato Bomb a while ago. It had a tight draw, was pretty sweet early, leathery in the middle, and very bland with a good deal of canoeing towards the end. Neat idea, execution left a bit to be desired.

Also, for what little it's worth, I found the band to be off-puttingly lame and redolent of the sort of wallpaper you'd fine in a Fisher-Price festooned romper room.

Beetle eggs will always be there. Whether they hatch or not depends on the conditions in which the cigars are being stored and whether the cigars are frozen, thereby cracking the eggs and preventing them from being hatched. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, I am nearly sure you are correct, Israel.

I have a fleeting memory of reading somewhere that most cigars are also treated before they are rolled to further help prevent beetles from hatching. For instance, I believe that cheaper cigars are usually stored in a "cheaper cigar" humidor, usually because they are more susceptible to eggs hatching than, say, a Padron Anni, which has had a higher treatment process. Of course, this could all be BS. :laugh:
