Had some familly in town tonight and decided to make some Pastitsio. Pulled the recipe from Food Network here:
Patstitsio Recipe: Ina Garten
Our local market was out of ground lamb, so we picked up some lamb stew meat and ground it ourselves. Turned out great! It does take a bit of time, but was definitely worth the wait. Total prep & cook time was probably close to 3-3.5 hours, but I'm sure it ran a bit long being the first time making it. There was an arugula, watermelon, and feta salad from the same episode that was served with it. Didn't have a chance to make it, but it definitely sounds good!
