I don't know about you guys, but I'm very sickened by the whole Peterson trial. Unfortunately I think we're going to have another OJ getting away with murder. Two jurors dismissed, and now deliberations have to start all over again.

The man should rott in hell, right next to OJ...

I've not kept up. Part of me, just seeing and reading everything else before the trial, kind of thinks he's not guilty. Maybe it's the fact that I could never, and I do mean never, murder my unborn child. My wife.... there's been moments I could have. lol

Just like OJ, there's absolutely, positively now way in the world he's NOT guilty and as Rod said, there's a chance he'll walk on this.
As I am not privy to all the evidence in the Peterson case, I do not know if he is guilty or not. However, I know that this type of thinking has led to a lot of wrongful convictions in the absense of physical evidence. You don't have to look far to see that errors are made all the time. Heck, just the The Innocence Project alone has led to the exoneration of 153 people, alot of which were on death row.

The two cases, Simpson and Peterson are so far apart it isn't funny. There was a ton of physical evidence in the Simpson case. A trail of blood leading from the crime scene to his home. Unfortunately there was a dynamic at work that the state was unprepared for.

In the Peterson case, it is my understanding that there is very little physical evidence. A lot of circumstance and boorish behavior. While it certainly 'looks' bad, it is difficult to send a man to his death based on 'looks'.

It is better that 100 guilty men go free than for one innocent man to be put to death. This is a principle that is deeply rooted in our system and can be traced to ancient times.

Maybe when Scott gets off he can get busy finding the real, maybe OJ can offer some pointers on his golf swin...I mean...finding the real killers.... :D :D

When I saw the dumbass in the boat out in the parking lot demonstrating how it's not possible to throw a body into the ocean - that was a joke! It's very easy to throw a body off a little boat. The boat is not going to capsize that easily. And lets remember, a boat on wood planks in a parking lot will react alot different than when in the ocean. This reminded me alot of the whole glove incident. This guy shows no emotion during the trial, come on, I highly doubt he's innocent. If he didn't do it, then he knows who did. And for that, he should still go to prison for life.

And just to be clear on the above, I am not one who believes in leniency. I have very conservative leanings and believe in harsh criminal justice. But the presumption of innocence cannot be flexible.

Looks like a verdict came in. To be read at 1pm PST. Went very fast once they got rid of their foreman. I am sure it is guilty.

I still believe that it is possible that OJ did not kill Nicole, and I certainly believe it is possible that Scott did not kill Laci. Is it likely that both murders were committed by the husbands? Heck yeah. But that is not the standard of proof we use for criminal cases in this country, and for good reason.

Surely an appeal has already been filed. This has been so screwed up from teh beginning that an appeals judge is going to have a field day with it.

Yep, there will be appeals, but it sounds as if they might not get anywhere since the judge is taking care of business with these boneheaded jurors. Better to have the bad ones drummed out now, rather than finding out after the decision that they were knuckleheads and have a retrial.
