Guys,

If you have a graphic or userbar in your signature, and it is linked to an unknown/un-reputable site, PLEASE DELETE IT NOW. The site some of the user bars are being linked to are replacing the original graphic with a pornographic image.

Again, if you have a graphic/user bar you want, then save it and upload it to the CP photo gallery.

Really! I'd better start paying more attention to everyone's signatures! :laugh:
 
Here's an example as to what's happening:

Member A finds a graphic on the internet he likes (let's call it graphic.jpg located on serverA.com). Member A decides to post that image in his signature. Owner of serverA.com decides he doesn't like people linking to his graphic, so he replaces graphic.jpg with an obscene image. So, now Member A's signature is now displaying an obscene image. Member A did not post that image, the actual image was changed on serverA.com by the admin there.

Make sense?
 
Where are the majority of our users that have user bars in their signature getting them from?
 
For those that do this, can they just copy the image they like and put it on photobucket or something?
 
I was the one who reported this to Rod. From my snooping around it seems that all of the bad images were replaced from one popular site where most seem to get these userbars from from. As fun as it is to bust about porn, these images were beyond vile and would easily cost someone a job or worse if anyone ever walked in the room while you were surfing. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what was one the screen in front of me. I took some screen shots and emailed them to Rod and then PM'd the members who had the images show up to tell them to remove them at once and PM'd a well respected member of the board for second opinion as well.
