First off these pictures are not of any of my cigars...

They are of a forum member's cigars of a German cigar forum I belong to.

Well half of us (including me) say its mold (I told the guy straight up its mold or he has a couple thousand mites making webs in his Humidor) the other half say its Plume.

So he contacted Dr. Dr. Professor. (Yeah the Germans love their titles  ) So and So an Expert from the Casa del Habanos in Berlin who told him its Plume... so he is going to place them back in his Humi just as they are and to quote him "enjoy the special flavor Plume adds to cigars.

I think he and the Dr. are nuts. :sign:

What sayeth you?

Even worse than all the so called experts telling him its Plume, was the guy who said it was mold and to use salad vinegar to soak down his Humidor to get rid of it.

I did a lot of
BadNews-BangHead.gif
in that thread.

OMG...
That should add a "special" taste to his cigars...

Obviously, the wise Professor's full title is Dr. Dr. Professor, B.S.

Mold is 3 dimensional and Brother, that's as 3D as I've seen.

I can't tell from those pics. More magnification please.

Doc.

Not my pictures to make bigger Doc... turn on your Windows magnifying glass to see them better :) (not joking I just tried it and it works).

s'mold.

But it's the "wipe it away and don't worry about it" kinda mold.

Yeah its not the Green mold, I'd still worry about it though, I'm really allergic to mold, I think smoking a moldy cigar would probably kill me.

Mold.

The wife of a co-worker of mine does research with molds, fungi, etc. in the medical center. She says mold, 100% sure.

First picture you can see the colonies and the fuzzy web looking stuff. Third picture its pretty telling as well.

Can't the person just try to brush it off and tell for sure?

Also, doesn't that look like a woman's hand in the last picture?

spiffy

Definitely mold (it's fuzzy and has depth, or height, or verticality, or whatever).

Also definitely a woman's hand. (I'm not sure why that matters, but oh well.)

Finally, I think a nice raspberry vinaigrette marinade in the humi would complement a cigar nicely. ???

lol I never noticed the hand... I was too busy looking at the mold.

And LMAO @ rbbrock... raspberry vinaigrette marinade indeed :sign:

Doesn't really matter, just all the posts referred to the original owner as "he". After living with my wife (she does diversity research) for so long that I notice things like that. Plus chicks and cigars go well together.

spiffy

Well the guy at my German forum is a guy... maybe he had his wife hold the cigar and / or take the pictures. Or he is a politician who has nice feminine hands from not having to work for a living :sign:
