WE HAVE A WINNER!

MILESMINGUSMONK correctly answered 9 of the 10 questions first. I had to toss out # 3 because I couldn't verify what The History Channel said this morning.

1. What year had 3 Presidents? 1881 – Hayes, Garfield, Arthur or 1841 with Van Buran, Harrison, Tyler

2. Who was the last President not to go to college? Harry Truman

3. Which President had the first First Lady? James Buchanan never married so his niece accompanied him at state events. She was the first to be called First Lady according to The History Channel but I couldn't verify.

4. Who was the first President to lose a child while in office? Thomas Jefferson

5. Which President smoked up to 20 cigars a day? U.S. Grant

6. Who was the last President never to go to school? Andrew Johnson

7. Who was the last President to go directly from the House of Representatives to the White House? James Garfield

8. Who was the first President to take the oath of office in the White House? Rutherford Hayes

9. Which President had the most vetos in the first 125 years of the country? Grover Cleveland

10.Which President had electricity installed in the White House Benjamin Harrison

Great job, MMM!

Hmmm, I switched two of my answers, so I botched them. Whoops.

But didn't Jefferson lose a child while in office? Here in wikipedia it lists a child named Mary Wayles (1778-1804), and his presidency as 1801 - 1809.

The History Channel let me down again. :( Send me your addy and I'll send you something as a conciliation.
