R.I.P. Peter Boyle dies in NYC

His episode of the X-Files is easily one of the greatest bits of acting that show ever saw, a timeless classic. Flawless in his timing and delivery on ELR, his talent will be missed.

It is too bad. He was a joy to watch and had a style all his own. RIP

Peter Boyle was everybody's wise cracking old man, he will be missed. RIP!

Puttin' on the Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiitz! Great actor and just funny in his own great way. I'll definately miss him.

As a youth of the 70s I can remember piling into the theater to see Young Frankenstein. Two scenes in the movie really had me cracking up.

One has been stated already (the song and dance with Boyle yelping "Puting on the Riiiiiitz!"). Sheer hilarity!

The second, and my most favorite, is the scene with Gene Hackman playing the blind man. His facial expressions and physical comedy as Hackman proceeded to pour hot soup on his genitals and start his thumb on fire when trying to light his cigar gets me cracking up even to this day.

You'll be missed Mr Boyle. RIP.

Darren

Just earlier this week I said to my wife, "I think I'm ready to watch 'Young Frankenstein' again.".
I remember seeing 'Joe' a number of times in the early '70's ("It's cold as a witches tit out!").
He was an uncle to someone here at work.
Good night funny man.
