So, does anyone else here follow F1?

I've never seen such a crash-ridden race. Let's just assume that each car costs $2 million. And knowing that 14 cars either broke or crashed out, that's a $28 million weekend (minimum).

Anyway, if I'm talking to myself here because nobody follows F1, just ignore my ramblings.

The F1 budgets are stratospheric. I believe the cost of one race for an F1 car is equivalent to that of an Indy car's entire season.

If anyone here is a fan of the British TV show Top Gear, in one episode they made a comment mentioning that F1 driving couldn't be all that difficult, and thus had one of the presenters attempt to simply drive the Renault F1 car around a track, without regard to time or speed. All he needed to do was do two laps. The challange was met with great difficulty, but before they took to the track they went over the costs of some components of the car...
