Well I just saw these in a Magazine it seems they came out with a Dominican brand. Im just wondering if its going to be decent or terrible like most dom versions of isom cigars.

INFO:
This brand originated in Cuba way back in 1837. The Orignal Dominican version is a medium-to-heavy flavored cigar and was manufactured in the same Santiago, Dominican Republic factory which produces famous Partagas cigars.
Revamped with a new blend, the second generation Dominican version offers a full-bodied smoke that really packs a punch. Armed with a new box and cigar band design, Ramon Allones is back and better looking then ever.
The recently reintroduced Ramon Allones is one of the few cigars to feature a Dominican-grown wrapper. This La Vega Especial wrapper is caramel in color and peppery on the tongue. A stout Broadleaf binder and Nicaraguan, Piloto Cubano and Mexican ligeros make this a robust blend. Each cigar is individually sleeved in cedar, which adds to its flavor and aroma.

I've smoked tons of RA NC before but I havent seen they put out a new blend. Woohwoo...if that is the case something new to try. They have never disappointed me before and I'm a hard one to please.

The only Ramones Allones (N/C) I've had was the Gustoso and it was awesome. That's the same one that was in one of the last issues of CA and was rated a 90 I think (might have been an 89).

I love the RA Gustoso's.I have 2 boxes after I grabbed a 5 pack and fell in love with these.
Stronger cigars creamy and earthy with slight spice and smooths out at the end.Distinc tobacco flavor.Very well made robusto.
Try a fiver, you may or may not like them.

Well the only thing that Cuban cigars have in common with cigars with the same name from another country is the name ONLY. I have a couple of these DR RAs in my humi but I've never smoked one.

I'd go with CigarPenguin's advice on this one. ;)

Better grab all these you can find. General quit making these about 3 months ago or so.

I have a customer who loves these things and we called to get a reorder of his favorite size and they(General Cigar Co.) told us they no longer make them and had no boxes in stock to offer us in any size. :0

The RAs that I have had have been very good. I would venture to say that IMHO the NCs taste better than the Cuban version.

But then I haven't found any Cuban with the exception of a Boli PC that was as good as any NC that I have smoked. But those are just my thoughts and your impression may be totally different. To each his or her own! :)

According to JR they've been recently reintroduced.

$10 off a box too.
