I'm getting a very nice Humi from my wife's partner full of cigars. He says they are "good" ones, for what thats worth. I'm just wondering if I need to re-season it. I'm assuming I do, so I am going to use the Boveda packets. If I leave the smokes in the Humi for the 10days it takes the Boveda seasoning kit, they should be ok to smoke in 10days?

thanks for the help and I sure could use any other recommendations...

If your wife's partner (???) hasn't been taking care of the humidor, the cigars are likely junk. Toss 'em, reseason the humidor and throw some _known good_ cigars in there. ;) If the humidors been kept up, though, you shouldn't have to do anything...

Yes, partner  they own a consulting firm. They Humi hasn't been kept up, it's currently reading 24%

Cigars are junk, then. You can try to "bring 'em back", but they won't taste the same. Once the oils in the leaves are gone, so are the cigars. Toss 'em and reseason the humidor. :)

Thank you very much for the quick replys...I may try my luck @ re hydrating them, I'm such a n00b I won't be able to tell a difference.
