I'm looking for your expert recommendations for a quality stick to share with my brother in law for his 40th birthday. Price is not and issue and my local B&M has a nice selection.

Looking forward to your opinions.

It was the first on my list as well but that's a tough one for me to come up with as my local doesn't have any. I'm open to a purchase if someone has two they are will to sell.

Davidoff Anniversario #1

If no Padron 40th - Padron '26

I also really like the Diamond Crown Maximus', if there aren't any Opus X's...

That isnt a bad stick. The one in the wooden tube. Pretty mild but a nice stick nonetheless. I smoked mine in Cardiff, Wales in a Pub after a fantastic meal and several pints of Guinness.

The Davidoff Anny #1 is definitely on the mild side - but has great construction and a great flavor. It smokes like a dream...

IMHO - It's a great cigar for someone who's celebrating a special occasion, doesn't mind spending a few bucks for a good cigar - and does not smoke an awful lot of cigars (much better than a Macanudo).

I would think that a regular 1926 would work pretty good as well.

If not better.I found that the smaller sizes taste better than the 40th's torpedo size, which is the only difference between the 26 line and the 40th cigar.

I like the Diamond Crown Maximus #4! or i guess if you had to the stupid Padron 26 40th annie...... :whistling:
