The way I see it is this guy doesn't really care that much about getting the cigars back to what they were as much as he's just glad to have them back period.

I think a better analogy would be for uh1c to have been a biker...married a chick that had him put the hog in the shed and clean up. Now that the chick is done he's just trying to get the hog back on the road instead of scrapping what he's already got and buying something new.

is anyone having trouble relating to putting 6 coolers of choice smokes into unsupervised storage because of a love that only lasted 8 years?

No offense to you Bro, But if my wife or partner told me to put my cigars/Port or motorcycle in storage because she did not like them. It would be a very short lived arrangement for her.
If people can not take you and your habits/hobbies and passions then get the hell away form them and get with someone that will tolerate your lifestyle.
