So it seems that the only semi local B&M around me is a place called Up in Smoke. I've been there many times and have always been satisfied with my visit. Seemingly knowledgeable staff, and it seems like they actually want to help you out. Being as new as I am I just want to see what others opinions of this retailer are. They do have a lounge (have to be a member) and they do have a lifetime 10% discount which I believe is $80. I've been to more than one of the locations and they are all very nice. So what do some of you other DFW'ers think of Up in Smoke? Have you had enjoyable experiences there? Do you purchase singles/boxes from there? Or do you avoid it at all cost?

Edit to add.

Edit: After posting this I realized it would've gone better in the retailer forum but I decided to leave it here to avoid having the same thread in two different locations. Sorry guys.

I used to go to the one on Macarthur Blvd in Irving. I lived right around the corner from there. Back when I used to go there I was still new to cigars. They were always nice to me and helped me along whenever possible. I can't remember how the prices were on the singles I bought, and I never made a box purchase while I lived in Texas. There was no lounge that I can remember, just two big chairs near the front door and a TV overhead. In the same general parkeing lot as Jason's Deli  I met Litto Gomez from LFD there at a cigar event.

If Up In Smoke is close to you...why not. Over your lifetime you will make up the 80 bucks. Personally I find their prices a bit high, but then again they are in high priced centers usually.

My father in law used to go to the one in Lewisville during lunch when he worked over that direction. I went there a few times, it seemed like a nice place. I like them because they sell the RP Edge lanceros by the box.

Where in Dallas are you? There are plenty of B&Ms around here if you don't mind driving.

1. Two Brothers in Plano - cheapest prices and you get a 10% discount if you add your name to their computer
2. Cigars & More in Addison
3. Cigar Lounge in McKinney
4. Taboo Cigars in NRH
5. Tobacco Road in Arlington
6. Stafford & Jones in Richardson

Never been to Up in Smoke but I've seen them around.

There also is Tobacco Gallery on Kate at Northwest Highway. Kent has another store Cigar Shop and More in Garland too. Lots of stores around. UIS has a really nice lounge in their uptown store.

I'm actually relatively close to all of those you listed (live in Highland Village which is right next to Flower Mound/Lewisville), I can't imagine I'm more than 45-50 minutes away from any of 'em. I'll definitely have to check those out to see how the prices compare to up in smoke. Thanks for the heads up on the many shops that are around Dallas.

Up in smoke is o.k. they get some nice stuff in from time to time, but there prices are usually pretty high especially on some of the nicer limited stuff.

Let us know if you plan to visit any of those shops and we can get a HERF together. We usually meet up at Two Brothers and smoke in their lounge.

Ive never been there, but your a little closer to Dallas than I am. What I have encountered over in my neck of the woods are..

1. The Cigar Shop- Bedford, Texas
Its pretty small but they seem decent on prices. They dont carry alot of brands I hear around here though. I found them first. The owner dosnt seem to take cigars as seroiusly as his other emoplyees as he is rarley of much help. Ive gotten alot more help from fellow patrons than I have from him. He and at least one of the employees are harley bikers so that would explain their more "hardass" air they carry about them. They have a little smoking room in the back and there are usually 2-3 patrons + whoever is running the shop.

2. Town & Country Cigars- Euless, Texas
Much more upscale and busy. They have a pretty large humi with alot more high end brands. They seem only slightly more expensive. They keep 3 leather couches up front with a flat screen. Its open to anyone (not just members). The staff and owners are alot more helpfull (and knowledgable) and willing to converse about anything from Cigars to whatever is on the tube. Did I mention they also have a large full bar area in the back with H-O-T waitresses that walk around and make sure your well taken care of and your ash tray is never full? And im not talking skanky either, its all a very well higher class professional place.
