Size 6X60
Prelight smell -musty in a good way like wet hay.
Construction - Very good. No loose spots
Wrapper taste - Nothing special or remarkable
Accompanying drink - Coffee with cream & sugar.
How it was cut - Don Salvatore cutter
How it was lit - Four flame lighter (Gotham?)
1st draw - a little harsh but tolerable
1st 3rd - Harshness very quickly disappears and is replaced with a wonderful sweet leather taste. VERY pleasant
No problems getting it lit and the burn is remaining very even. Smokes very cool and smooth.
Smell - Sort of a sweet toasty almond-leather smell. Very nice
Second third
Continuing pretty much the same as the first. Sweetness has picked up and I am really enjoying this smoke.
Weather's nice (about 75) and I'm sitting on the porch watching the traffic go by and enjoying my cigar.
The ash stayed solid for about one inch before I finally tapped it off.
It's a little hard to see in this crappy cell phone pic but the ash stayed completely solid when I tapped it off.
Last third
Here's where the fun kinda died down a bit. It started smoking a little hot. Maybe a white pepper taste.
I didn't smoke it completely down to the nub but I got close
This cigar left a very pleasant sweet tobacco taste in my mouth when I was done.
Hands smell like cigar not cigarette. I think a hand washing is still in order though.
All in all a very enjoyable smoke for the first two thirds.
Last third is when things fell apart a bit and it started to smoke hot and become unpleasant.
I got 5 of these for $20.
Overall score
7/10
Would I buy these again?
Yes Probably. A box of 21 is only $79 and after aging in the humidor for a little while maybe that last third harshness would be
diminished?
And even if it isn't the price is very nice for what you get.
