RIP Milton Friedman

For anyone with an interest in economics Milton Friedman was a giant of our times. He was 94. There is a nice 5 page obit posted on the NYT online and I'm sure will show on all of the other news services.

“Among economic scholars, Milton Friedman had no peer,” Ben S. Bernanke, the Federal Reserve chairman, said yesterday. “The direct and indirect influences of his thinking on contemporary monetary economics would be difficult to overstate.”

I was also very sad to see this. My Business Economics Professor studied under Freidman, and all I can say, is that was the best class I have ever taken.
