OG Post-Whorer since 2008 bitches...
Well, I was unable to go to Stinki's Cigar Lounge function last night due to work, the wife (don't ask!), and distance, so I and a buddy of mine went to Old Town Smoke Shoppe, in "Old Town" Temecula, CA. They were putting on a Rocky Patel tasting, and it was definitely a great time! They had some raffles where you bought three RP cigars, got an Olde World Reserve for gratis, and a raffle ticket!
I ended up buying about $40 bucks worth of cigars, and got two tickets, and my buddy got one ticket. Sitting down, talking to some good BOTLs, and one SOTL, it was just all around a GREAT TIME! The rep fom RP Cigars gave a really cool presentation on the history of Rocky Patel, talked to us about how cigars are made, differences in each RP cigar, and showed us some upcoming prototypes for their accessories line.
Whether you are a fan of RP or not, it didn't matter because I was able to meet up with some real nice people. My friend and I were talking to one gentlemen by the name of "Ed," and he was just a real nice older gentlemen, just talking like old friends. It's amazing what happens when other BOTLs get together, it's like a family!
As far as the prizes were concerned, my buddy won a Colibri money clip (with a DOLLAR in it!). The owners said they put the dollar in the money clip so that it would actually be worth something!! :sign: :sign: :sign:
I won a 5 packer of RP OWR, three maduros and two naturals. So, overall, a good night!
If there were any BOTLs that are on here that were there, sound off!!
