There's talk that the Mets and sO-SO are in talks to let him play so that he can join the 600 hr club. Of course there's the "where were you for 2006" question, and he wants respect from the club because of who he is. He must be juice free by now, so it's time for him to work on his "LEGACY". What doyou think? ;)

Give us a break Sammy.. stay retired. In 2005 he hit 14 HR, and had 45 rbi, 221 BA in 102 games, and was really overmatched by anyone with a fastball. Now, he's 2 years older, took a year away from the game...

Sammy, how can you think you can even come close to the crappy year you had in 2005?

Anyone who signs him is nuts. But if they do.. a month of hitting under 200 with 1 hr and 3 rbi's and he's toast.

The Mets have a hole to fill in right field, but I don't think Sosa would be a good fit. Under old management, the Mets have this habit of picking up big name has beens a la Bobby Bonilla, Roberto Alomar etc. Omar Minaya seems smarter than that, and I would be disappointed if he makes the roster.
