Saturday my wife and I went out with two other couples for my birthday, it was Tuesday but we held out for Saturday to celebrate.
Went to Council Bluffs to the Horseshoe Casino as they allow smoking. Had a nice buffet and then went to the bar. They had a U2 tribute band that we didn't know was going to be there. They were very good, yeah I still remember them before Bono became to big for his britches. The early stuff still rocks.
I had 3, yes three, that's three cigars!!!!!!! My first 3 cigar day ever. Here's the pic of the bands from them.
I loved the Padron, thank you to whomever sent it to me. Same for the Davidoff, it was very mild but I loved the flavor.
My notes are usually very amateurish, I was pretty lit up with Don Julio and Cabo Wabo so I didn't try to make any notes other than if I liked them or not.
Then I ordered 6 Devils Weed, I read something about them here a while back. The damn things showed up today! I ordered them like Saturday!!! Will have to wait until this weekend to try them, hope I enjoy them, the name just sounded too cool. :whistling:
