Sheffield Tawny Port

Has anyone tried this port? I'm drinking a glass right now and it's exactly whatI expected...a cheap drink. The smell is a bit too astringent to me. There is a lingering taste of cherries or perhaps blueberries, but I can't get past the astringency.

This is my first foray in to ports. I would like to add some vintage ports to my wine fridge (when I get one in the near future), but I wanted to start out with some low cost bottles first instead of diving head first in to the high cost vintages. This was not a good start.

I agree. For a cheap port, it's still bad lol

keep trying some though, they are quite delicious when you find one you like

What are your thoughts on Taylor Fladgate? They offer some lower costs ports, but they seem to offer some high end vintages.
