So next month I get to take a trip for work to New Orleans to the Solidworks world Conference. http://www.solidworks.com/pages/swworld07/index.html

It should be a good time. Hit up the conference during the day, and check out new orleans at night. We are staying at the Riverside Hilton.

Anyways, I know there is a ton of stuff to see, do, eat, drink, etc in New Orleans and was wondering if any of you have been there and have any recommendations on must see, do, eat, drink, etc. Save me the time of looking around!

One other thing. We get there the night of the super bowl and the Saints are still in the hunt. Be pretty sweet if they win the super bowl the night we get there!

I don't know what's left or rebuilt.

You must eat a muffeletta.
You must enjoy a coffee at Cafe Du Monde.

La ti Da (it's a party sound)

Only recommendation is to check out some of that great music. Would be interested in how the rebuilding is going on...

Have a great time and pace yourself at the convention. I turned down going this year just because the guy I would be going with would not be making a return trip. We get along like oil and water.

Like Doc mentioned, the Cigar Factory is a great place to stop in and take a lot of pictures.

If you wouldn't mind, post a review of what it's like down there post-flood. Some of my buds and I were thinking of going but were not sure what is still open.

There is always the live music at The House of Blues. The best food in NO at K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen and Embers Steakhouse. And my favorite, hot sauce tastings regularly at the mall by the convention center.

Eric........you'll have a great time..............of course, don't miss Bourbon St. ...........you'll see just about anything going on there.............

Like Fish said, K-Paul's is the best food I have had. I don't know if they are back open and even if they are in the same place, if so, it is not much to look at, but damn.

If they still have it, try the rabbit.
