There was really not much shock in the vote that REPEALED the smoking ban in Campbell County, Kentucky. The jackass council that passed the ordinance only did so because they were lame ducks on their way out and they wanted to stir some s%$t. None the less, I find it amusing that a smoking ban that was enacted has now been rescinded.
For those of you not in the know, Campbell County, Kentucky contains Newport and Bellevue which are the towns along the Ohio River across from the east side of Cincinnati's downtown. The Party Source, a solid liquor and tobacco purveyor, is located in Campbell County so they are quite pleased with this turn of events. The Party Source sponsors weekly herfs at a bar on the river and those events are always well attended...so we can continue to smoke there!
As much bad news as we see on the bans, some good news is a welcome change.
