Not A Nice Person

The Spey River line of Scotches showed up at my local Spec's---there's also a Sherry Cask, a Double Cask, and a Single Cask---and at a sale price of only $35, I just had to take the Rum Cask home with me. 
Let me just say it's a magnificent and highly drinkable dram, especially at that price point. It has the sweetness of a sherry cask, but with more malt and less fruit. Nice long finish, with caramel and spice notes. Very honeyed feel on the palate.
At $35---$41 when it goes off sale---I suspect I'll be adding all of them to my bar shelf. Definitely recommended.
