UPDATE: 4//31/07

Since this is a training cigar pass I think that we should play this one by the book so we all get the system down. That means the following:

1) Post when you receive the pass
2) Please do an inventory and make sure everything is there and numbered correctly!
3)Please inspect the box and packaging materials for proper cigar packing and RH%. Either post your concern or contact me directly via PM.
4) Post puts and takes and wait for confirmation of approval. If no confirmation in 36 hours after posting puts and takes then assume that it is ok and get the box moving to the next location. NOTE: For puts and takes, and again because this is a practice run when you post your puts, put the MSRP on your cigars. This will be good practice in how to look them up.
5) Email next recipient to confirm mailing address and that he or she will be available to receive the box. Life happens and we just want to make sure the pass box is not sitting in the rain or snow on someone's stoop who has had an emergency. This is just an extra safety measure.
6) Once the box has been sent priority, post the DC (Delivery Confirmation) number on CP.
7) Follow the Pass and watch the fun continue!!!!!

Thanks SJM and Swissy

Nice bunch of sticks, and kudos for getting some experienced guys to help out.....

Have fun - B.B.S.

Like I said before, me and JimiHendrix can count as one on this one.

That's a helluva lineup of sticks for a newbie pass. Thanks man!

I suggest using the lowest online price available to figure out the value of any one cigar. Local prices should not be used as it factors in Brick an Mortar markup and state taxes. Also, cigar weekly has a list of MSRP's if you absolutley can not find any price on a cigar. One caveat, CW's database can be rater old on some cigars and does not factor market demand.

OK,

We have are 3 experienced members. We have are 10 Players. I will talk over the pass order and packing and the like with the experienced members. Post all information.

We will be up and running, after that. I will keep you Posted.

On Sax's pass we were using the cigarcyclopedia and taking the average for sticks that were on there, for rare stuff like the opus we would use MSRP. So just to ask a question, do you want to do avg. price, or lowest price.

I feel there is an advantage to the avg. price, because cigarcyclopedia lists stores that list items, but dont stock them...those stores generally have the lowest prices on the items they do not stock...

CRAP! I've been waiting on a noob pass. Wanted to get my feet wet.

Can you put me down as an understudy? :D

Emodx. Has it right.

When I pick up sticks I search the net for the best deal, that is not to say I can find them at MSRP. Some members on CP have that privilege, most do not.

While I am also a New guy around CP, to keep things above board I will ask the experienced members to be the judge on all the puts and takes. This will help me and all the players in this pass.

Please post all comments and concerns, regarding this pass to the board. Insuring fairness.

When looking for prices on NC cigars, I use these cigar sites:
JRcigars
tntcigars
famous-smoke

On cigars like opus/anejo, padrons I will use the MSRP stickies found in the Cigar Discussion forum. As a last resort I will google it, and use the cheapest price I can find. Most people are not going to string you up by your toes as long as you are close. The main thing is to keep the lineup fun for everyone. If you are going to take an opus, then make sure you replace it with something that someone else would want to try! Don't stress out on finding prices. You guys will do fine. I would be more worried about shipping than pricing. If you do not package the pass well, then all the cigars will be ruined. Most of all, HAVE FUN!! That's what it is all about. Enjoy guys

Brandon
