recently I have decided to cut back on the beer and drink more wine..with a bottle price of say 5-15 dollars what is there good to be had...I know what I like but am looking to try something new.
a few varietals I enjoy

Syrah
Pinot Noir
a big fan of various Meritage's
and Cabernets

I also like a nice Reisling now and then

Personally, I wouldn't even try Pinots in that price range, but I have been accused of being a wine snob :whistling: .

There are quite a few very good Shiraz in that price range as well as blends. You might want to try the Michael~David wines as their distribution is quite large and their price point is decent. We do get a lot of positive feedback on these wines when we pour them at the local wine festival.

La Crema Pinot Noir. From Napa - $20/bottle in PA - can be had for less in other states.
